Supervisor of Elections Robert D. Bender announced today that sample ballots for the March 19 Presidential Preference Primary Election have been mailed to Escambia County voters. The sample ballot, in both English and Spanish, includes a ballot image, the voter’s polling location and information on the three ways to vote: early, vote-by-mail, and on Election Day. A sample ballot is also available at EscambiaVotes.gov.
Florida is a closed primary state. The 2024 Presidential Preference Primary is for Republican voters only.
Some party candidates for president have suspended or ended their presidential campaigns. If a candidate did not submit a formal withdrawal before December 12, 2023, in accordance with 103.101(3), Fla. Stat., the candidate nominee's name must remain on the Presidential Preference Primary ballot for their respective party. A vote cast for any candidate nominee appearing on the ballot will count as a vote for that candidate.
Voters have three different ways to cast their ballot:
- By Mail: Voters may vote by mail using a vote-by-mail ballot, which can be requested through the online form at EscambiaVotes.gov, or by contacting the Supervisor of Elections by mail, phone (850) 595-3900, e-mail [email protected]), or fax (850) 595-3914. Requests must include the voter’s date of birth and the address, and must be received no later than Thursday, March 7. Voted ballots must be received in the Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day and may not be returned to a polling location on Election Day. Voters may now drop-off a vote-by-mail ballot during Early Voting hours at any of the ten area locations.
- Early Voting: Early voting will be available Saturday, March 9 through Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations and times:

- Molino Community Center, 6450 Highway 95A North, Molino
- Pensacola State College Building 17, 1000 College Pkwy, Pensacola

- Escambia County Extension Services, 3740 Stefani Road, Cantonment
- Brownsville Community Center, 3200 W. DeSoto Street, Pensacola
- UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82, 11000 University Parkway, Room 235, Pensacola
- Bellview Library, 6425 Mobile Highway, Pensacola
- Billy G. Ward Courthouse, 7500 N. Century Blvd, Pensacola
- At Your Precinct: The third option for voters is to cast a paper ballot at their precinct on Election Day, Tuesday, March 19. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
