Escambia County Supervisor of Elections David H. Stafford will team up with University of West Florida faculty, Student Government Association, Voyages and the UWF Black Employee Association for a fall voter registration drive on Sept. 26, 2012. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Main Campus. Stafford is scheduled to speak in the University Commons at 12:30 p.m. regarding election issues and changes.
“As the presidential election approaches, it’s critical that all eligible citizens are given the opportunity to register and vote,” Stafford said. “Events like these help students ensure their voices are heard on Election Day and beyond.”
Elections staff will also be on hand to help Florida residents, 18 years of age and older, register to vote, change their address, update their signature, change party affiliation or even sign up to vote by mail. Any individuals who are 16 and 17 years of age may pre-register.
