New Records Exemption for Military Personnel

Recently, Governor Scott signed into law HB 185, which creates a public records exemption for the identification and location information of current or former active duty service members of the United States (U.S.) Armed Forces, their reserve components, or the National Guard who served after September 11, 2001. The exemption also includes their spouses and dependents. Individuals requesting this exemption for their voter registration information must submit a request form to the Supervisor of Elections.
