CONDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTICE OF RECOUNT ESCAMBIA COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD FOR GENERAL ELECTION

NOTICE is hereby given that if the Secretary of State orders a machine recount in the U.S. Senate, the Governor, the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, and/or any other race, the Escambia County Canvassing Board will meet at Noon on Sunday, November 11, 2018, to conduct the recount.

The recount, if ordered, will be held at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 213 Palafox Place, Second Floor, Pensacola, Florida.

In accordance with the Sunshine Laws of Florida, all Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public.

If necessary, the Canvassing Board will continue the recount on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. If additional time is needed the Canvassing Board will meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, November 13, 14, and 15 at 9:00 a.m. until the recount is complete.

Note: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
