CONDITIONAL PUBLIC NOTICE OF MANUAL RECOUNT
ESCAMBIA COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD FOR
GENERAL ELECTION
NOTICE is hereby given that if the Secretary of State orders a manual recount for any of the following races:
• U.S. Senate,
• Governor, and/or
• Florida Commissioner of Agriculture
The Escambia County Canvassing Board will meet at 9:00 a.m., or as soon as practical thereafter, on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 213 Palafox Place, Second Floor, Pensacola, Florida to conduct the manual recount. This meeting will supersede the meeting scheduled for 2:00 p.m. for the 10-day Overseas ballots.
If necessary, the Canvassing Board will continue the manual recount(s) at 9:00 a.m., or as soon as practical thereafter, on the following dates until the recount(s) are complete:
• Saturday, November 17, 2018 (include processing the 10-day Overseas ballots)
• Sunday, November 18, 2018
In accordance with the Sunshine Laws of Florida, all Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public.
Note: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
