Elections Office Completes Email Migration to .gov Domain

Supervisor of Elections David H. Stafford today announced the conversion of all office email accounts from a .com to a .gov domain. This follows the successful migration to .gov of the office’s official website, EscambiaVotes.gov, last year.

“.gov” is a top-level domain (TLD) established to make it easy to identify government organizations and their online services, like a website or email. CISA, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, sponsors the .gov TLD and restricts its usage to U.S.-based government organizations and publicly controlled entities. Usage of the .gov domain is a top best practice recommendation for elections offices, which have been designated part of our nation’s critical infrastructure.

A .gov email address helps ensure that Florida voters know that they are communicating with an official government organization and a trusted source of election information. Voters should see no other visible changes on our emails. Our office can be reached via email at [email protected] and on the web at EscambiaVotes.gov.
