End of Qualifying for Town of Century 2025 Special Elections

Qualifying for Century Town Council, Seat 4 and Mayor ended today, Wednesday, February 12 at noon.

One candidate qualified for Mayor:

Benjamin D. Boutwell

Three candidates qualified for Century Town Council, Seat 4:

John Bass

Kathryn Fleming

Sparkie Harrison

Due to their only being one qualifying candidate for Town of Century Mayor, that contest will not appear on either the primary or general ballot.

As it relates to the Century Town Council, Seat 4 race, if one of the three (3) candidates gets a majority vote (50% + 1 vote), that candidate will be declared elected. If no candidate gets a majority, the two (2) candidates who receive the highest number of votes cast in the primary will appear on the general ballot. This is a nonpartisan race for both the primary and general election.

The Special Primary Election for the Town of Century will be held on Tuesday, March 18, and the Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 29.
